Pr. Dr. Georgios Terzis is Visiting Professor at Saint Louis University, and Associate Professor at Vesalius College, Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He did post-doctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania on Ethnopolitical Conflict Studies, he received his Ph.D. in Communication Studies from the Katholieke Universiteit Brussel, and he studied Journalism and Mass Communication in Greece, UK, USA and The Netherlands. His research focuses on media and security, European media governance, public diplomacy and the development of pan-European media.
He has been teaching and doing research in journalism and communication departments of many universities for 25 years. He has also been involved in several international research projects and networks. He is the founding Chair of the Journalism Studies Section of the European Communication Research and Education Association. He has been working as a reviewer for most of the major publishing houses in the communication science field, as well as the European Commission and the Council of Europe.
