Lunch Lecture is available on the

The Lunch Lecture took place on July 4. It focused on understanding the digital practices of young people, and was presented by Martin Culot (Média Animation ASBL) and Tatiana Debrabandere (Conseil supérieur de l’éducation aux medias/CSEM).
The session focused on the survey “Generation2024” that was conducted from October to December 2023. More than 3700 primary and secondary school students from French-speaking Belgium responded to a questionnaire addressing different aspects of their digital life. The survey provides quantitative and comprehensive data on young people’s actual uses of digital technologies, including their access to news and disinformation. It suggests that the massive presence of digital technologies fuels many fantasies and alarmist discourses.
